How much dust will floor preparation create?
The amount of dust created during floor preparation varies depending on the method used. For example:
- Shotblasting generally produces minimal dust because the system often includes a dust collection unit.
- Grinding can generate a significant amount of fine dust, especially with dry grinding, unless dust extraction systems are in place.
- Scarifying and scabbling create more debris and coarse dust, as they aggressively remove surface material.
- Using vacuum systems or dust extraction units can minimize the dust generated during these processes.
