The Challenge
Create a unique design to enhance the hotel’s curb appeal. Also, provide polished surface that could withstand heavy foot traffic.
Another key point, certain back-of-house areas required concrete sealing for practical maintenance.
Request for Service
First, we needed to level the concrete and give it a durable overlay. Second, we polished the entire lobby for a sleek, modern appearance. For the front walkway, we created a custom scabbled (chipped-out) concrete design, using 2×2 squares over a 25-foot-long area. Afterwards, the scabbled concrete is sealed to protect against the elements. In like manner, we ensure the back-of-house areas are treated with the same long-lasting treatment, so the concrete in all major traffic areas is sealed for long-term durability.
High Quality Finished Concrete Floors and Stunning Results
After addressing the defective materials, the team shifted to a 2×4-foot black porcelain tile. To ensure a stable installation, we ground down the joints and flattened the slab. Further, a crack isolation and moisture vapor barrier is applied for additional durability. Generally, epoxy grout is used for its strength, and polished concrete and carpet tiles are expertly installed in the warehouse, offices, and banquet areas. Ultimately, the entire project spanned 3-4 months and resulted in a smooth, high-quality finish, seamlessly applied across all environments.
